Bicycle accessories for safety
AXA and npk: a good combination
AXA Security leads the way when it comes to safety in the bicycle industry. After our first pitch for the AXA Victory ring lock, we really ‘clicked’ and we’ve been working successfully with AXA for years on products that are unique in the bicycle accessory sector. Among other things, we help AXA to quickly respond to market demand and devise smart solutions for the bicycle of tomorrow.

With the AXA Victory, the ring lock has been reinvented
All the parts in this lock have been greatly improved and it is the only ring lock on which the steel housing is welded all around. This is how AXA defines the highest standards in safety. Moreover, thanks to the modern aerodynamic design the ring lock fits perfectly on every bicycle. The plastic parts are available in different colours and textures so that the AXA Victory exactly matches the colour schemes of different bicycles.

With the AXA foldable series, the linking principle of a chain lock has been integrated into a unique foldable lock, or should we call it a ‘foldable chain’
AXA Foldable series is unique in its class
AXA has instigated a new trend: foldable locks are becoming more and more popular among bicycle owners, particularly the owners of modern bicycles with stylishly designed frames. But with foldable locks, the mobility of the segments is often restricted. Chain locks are the handiest way of attaching your bicycle to an immovable object but they are difficult to store and transport without damaging your bicycle.

The key to success
The very sophisticated appearance of the series of foldable and ring locks is the result of intensive collaboration between the designers and engineers at npk design. This parallel process is the basis for our fast and efficient design method. During the development process, besides computer calculations we also use lots of prototyping and experimentation in our model workshop to make the lock mechanisms as smooth and at the same time as strong as possible. The many 3D-printed models, welded steel links, machined lock housing and stitched covers greatly speed up the process. From idea to production in less than a year.

AXA Fit is a perfect fit for all kinds of bike types
For users this is a neat, compact chain guard. For the AXA Fit, we designed different colour combinations and materials that match perfectly with all kinds of bike types. However, the real innovations are technical and inside. A clever patented solution for attaching the chain guard to the crank saves a lot of assembly time. Together with a new adjusting mechanism that works in 3 directions, AXA Fit will ‘fit’ on many various bicycle frames.
